The Skin Cancer Base Australia (the Foundation) is a notforprofit benevolent organization benefiting and treating those who suffer from diseases of the skin. Our specialists donate a full range of services for the diagnosis and management of all skin conditions, including skin cancer. In addition, we provide an extensive range of dermatological services and cosmetic procedures, all performed by dermatologists and dermatology nurses. Since it opened in 1976, the Base has gained a reputation as a center of excellence in the clinical management of skin diseases and skin surgery, and also in dermatology research and education. We perform the largest number of Moho dermatological surgery in the southern hemisphere. Both facilities are licensed with the MSW Department of Health as day procedure centers and have quality certification. The Skin Cancer Foundation Australia is a registered educational institution, and with its association with the Australasian College of Dermatologists is committed to the training of dermatology registrars. We estimate that in the former 15 years, 95 of dermatologists admitted to Fellowship in MSW have spent at least one year of their training at The Skin Cancer Foundation Australia.
